The No Clit in the Pit group on facebook is pretty disgusting. I’m confused by its followers, too. Some seem to be like “Oh hey guys, it’s just a joke, women belong in the kitchen, get it, it’s neo-feminism, haha” and all that garbage, and some followers seem to genuinely want women to not be able to participate at punk and hardcore shows.
I’m calling bullshit.
There’s been a shitload of punk bands who have been extremely progressive in their pro-feminist agenda (um, Propagandhi? Hello?), and it’s assholes like these who are trying to mutate the scene into that which it was established against: a movement based on the oppressive authority of white male power only.
If you have a facebook, report the group (bottom left corner of the page) as hate-based.
